ALLEN W. BROWN JR Fellow Auxiliarists, I am pleased to announce the availability of a new electronic National Testing Center for use by Auxiliary members seeking qualification in a wide range of mission areas. This "eTesting" Center is available at http://ntc.cgaux.org. Every Auxiliarist already has an account on the new National Testing Center, but it must be activated by following the directions available at the new site. As part of our effort to reduce the complexity of our electronic resources, activation of your account on the National Testing Center will rely on information from your eDirectory account. If you have any difficulty, user support is available at ntchelp@auxtdept.org. If you need a password or have your password reset go to the new National Testing Center site for a new or lost password. The National Testing Center simplifies several aspects of online testing. For example, the new National Testing Center does not require you to request a proctor 48 hours in advance through the eTesting system. In order to take a proctored test, you need only arrange to meet the on-line proctor where you will be taking the exam and have the proctor sign in to the system (as Test Administrator/Instructor) at the appropriate time. To avoid delays, be sure you and your proctor have already activated your accounts and know your passwords. Check with your Flotilla Commander or Member Training Officer to determine who in your local area is an approved on-line proctor. More information, including FAQs can be found at the Training Resource Center at www.auxtdept.org Testing is an important part of member training and qualification, key benefits of membership in the Auxiliary. I hope you will find the new National Testing Center to be a great resource and benefit, and that you will take advantage of it to further develop your involvement and activity in the Auxiliary. Sincerely, |
